QR Handy Terms of Use

Welcome to QR Handy.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and the developer and operator of QR Handy ("we," "us," or "our") regarding your download, installation, access to, and use of the QR Handy mobile application ("QR Handy," the "App," or the "Service").
Please read these Terms carefully before using the App. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using QR Handy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. Nothing in these Terms removes any rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
QR Handy is a QR code application that provides features including:
· Scanning QR codes and displaying their decoded content;
· Creating QR codes from information you provide;
· Viewing the history of scanned and created QR codes;
· Copying text for use elsewhere; and
· Sharing selected content through the operating system's share panel.
Camera-based scanning requires camera access. Copying and sharing use the device's clipboard and system sharing functions. Advertising and other external services, where used, may require an internet connection.
Features and performance may vary depending on your device, operating system, camera capabilities, QR code quality, region, network availability where relevant, and version of the App.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to install and use QR Handy on a compatible device for lawful purposes. This license may be revoked in accordance with these Terms.
This license does not transfer ownership of the App, its software, design, trademarks, or other intellectual property to you.
Except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law, you may not:
· Copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App itself;
· Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to obtain the App's source code;
· Remove or alter copyright, trademark, attribution, or other proprietary notices;
· Circumvent security measures, technical restrictions, or access controls;
· Use automated systems to overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the App or any connected services; or
· Use QR Handy in a manner that violates applicable law or another person's rights.
These restrictions on the App do not prevent you from using or sharing QR codes you create in accordance with these Terms and any rights applicable to their content.
To provide its features, QR Handy processes camera content used to read QR codes, information decoded from scanned QR codes, information you enter to create QR codes, generated QR codes, and content you select for copying or sharing.
You retain your existing rights in the content you provide. You grant us a limited right to process that content only as necessary to provide the functions you request, including displaying results and maintaining scanning and creation history, and to operate and protect those functions. Personal information is handled as described in the QR Handy Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to scan, enter, encode, store, copy, or share content through the App. Using the App does not grant you ownership of content belonging to another person.
The history feature allows you to view records of both scanned and created QR codes. The App may not provide controls for deleting individual history records or clearing the entire history.
History is provided for convenience. We do not guarantee that records will remain available indefinitely or can be recovered after device changes, data loss, removal of the App or its data, or other events affecting storage. Keep a separate copy of any content you need to preserve.
Creating a QR code does not by itself make its content confidential. Anyone who obtains the code may be able to read the encoded information using a compatible scanner. Consider this before encoding or sharing personal information or confidential content.
QR Handy may request camera permission when you use the scanning feature. Camera access is used to detect and read QR codes. The App will not intentionally activate the camera without a user-initiated action and the required system permission.
You can decline camera permission or revoke it through your device settings. Camera-based scanning will then be unavailable. Revoking permission does not automatically delete existing history records.
When you use the copy function, selected text is placed on your device's clipboard. You can then paste it into another application, subject to the operating system's controls.
When you tap Share, the App opens the system share panel. If you select and complete a sharing action, the chosen content is made available to the application, service, or recipient you select.
After content is pasted or shared elsewhere, its handling is governed by the receiving application or service and its own terms and privacy practices. Sharing does not automatically delete the corresponding history record in QR Handy.
Copying and sharing may be affected by operating-system restrictions, the receiving application's capabilities, and the content format. We do not guarantee that every application or service will accept every shared item.
Scanning and creation use automated technologies. Performance may be affected by lighting, focus, camera quality, image size, contrast, damage to a QR code, encoded content, and the capabilities of the scanner or receiving application.
QR Handy does not guarantee that:
· Every QR code will be detected or read successfully;
· Every scanning result will be complete, accurate, or suitable for a particular purpose;
· Every generated QR code will be readable by all devices, scanners, applications, or services;
· A web address, contact detail, credential, or other information contained in a QR code is correct, current, authentic, or safe; or
· A third-party destination associated with a QR code will remain available or provide the expected content.
A successful scan does not verify the identity of the code's creator or establish that the encoded information or associated website is trustworthy. QR Handy is a tool for reading and creating QR codes; it does not certify third-party content or transactions.
Before using a scanning result or distributing a generated QR code, check the decoded or entered information and test the code with a compatible scanner where appropriate. Independently verify information used for payments, access credentials, or other decisions that may have significant consequences.
You remain responsible for how you interpret, use, publish, copy, or share QR code content, subject to any responsibilities that applicable law places on us.
You agree not to use QR Handy to:
· Violate any applicable law or regulation;
· Create, encode, store, copy, or distribute unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or abusive material;
· Harass, exploit, impersonate, or harm another person;
· Infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights;
· Process or disclose another person's private information without the necessary authorization or other lawful basis;
· Create deceptive QR codes, phishing links, fraudulent payment instructions, or misleading communications;
· Distribute viruses, malicious code, or other harmful technology; or
· Interfere with or disrupt the App or any connected services.
We may restrict or discontinue access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, abuse, a security risk, or a material violation of these Terms, subject to applicable law.
QR Handy may use third-party services for advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or other technical functions. Information processed by these services is described in the QR Handy Privacy Policy.
Independent third-party applications, services, and websites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. This includes applications or services you choose through the system share panel and destinations associated with QR code content.
We do not control independent third-party services. Their availability, content, security, and conduct are their responsibility, subject to any obligations that applicable law places on us.
The App may display advertisements supplied by third parties. Your interaction with an advertisement, advertiser, or external website is between you and the relevant third party. The appearance of an advertisement in QR Handy does not constitute our endorsement or guarantee of its products, services, claims, or content.
We may update, improve, modify, replace, suspend, or discontinue part of QR Handy when reasonably necessary for technical, security, legal, operational, or product-related reasons, subject to applicable law and any notice required by it.
We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, operating system, scanner, or receiving application. Device limitations, QR code quality, operating-system changes, network conditions where relevant, and independent third-party services may affect performance.
You are responsible for maintaining a compatible device and operating system and installing updates required to continue using the App securely or correctly. Updates may change the availability or operation of features, including history-related options.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential losses arising from or relating to your use of or inability to use QR Handy.
Subject to that legal limit, this includes such losses resulting from:
· Unsuccessful scans or inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable scanning results;
· Incorrect information entered into a generated QR code or a generated code that is not readable in a particular environment;
· Reliance on misleading, unsafe, outdated, or fraudulent third-party QR code content;
· Loss or unavailability of scanning or creation history;
· Disclosure, loss, or misuse of content copied or shared with another application, service, or recipient;
· Temporary service interruptions or device incompatibility;
· Independent third-party services, advertisements, or external websites; or
· Unauthorized access resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusions are prohibited. Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer rights or any remedies available to you under applicable law.
QR Handy is not directed to children under the age of 13.
If you are under the age at which you may independently accept these Terms in your country or region, you may use QR Handy only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, and only where applicable law permits it.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising a minor's use of the App and determining whether its content and functions are appropriate.
You may stop using QR Handy at any time, including by uninstalling the App.
Your license to use the App may be terminated if you materially violate these Terms. Where applicable law requires notice or an opportunity to remedy a breach, we will comply with those requirements. Upon termination, you must stop using the App.
Uninstalling the App or terminating your use does not guarantee deletion of every copy of your content. The handling of locally stored records, backups, previously shared content, and eligible deletion requests is described in the QR Handy Privacy Policy.
Provisions concerning intellectual property, limitations of liability, dispute resolution, and other provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective.
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes to the App, applicable laws, technical requirements, or our operating practices.
Revised Terms will be made available through the App or another reasonable method, and the "Last Updated" date will be changed. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice before material changes take effect and obtain any required acceptance.
Where permitted by applicable law, your continued use of QR Handy after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree, you should stop using the App. Changes will not remove any rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which the App operator is established, without excluding any mandatory consumer protections available to you under the laws of your country or region.
If a dispute arises, please contact us so that we can attempt to resolve it through good-faith communication. This does not prevent you from seeking urgent relief, making a complaint to a competent authority, or exercising any right to legal remedies under applicable law.
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may submit it to a court or other competent authority with jurisdiction under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms requires you to give up any mandatory right to bring a claim in your country or region.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
